The GBA Seems to be Evolving Every Day Now...
Posted at 5/31/02, 12:18 pm by Evil Dead Rabbit
Developer AGB Games, whom you might remember developing an engine that looked like a dummied down Grand Theft Auto 3
game, has posted an update concerning their 3D engine, currently in
progress. This time, the team has ported the first map from Quake,
which, with unoptimized code, had a framerate of 15-60 FPS. AGB Games
stated that with more optimization, the game could be locked at an
extremely high framerate, meaning that games like Quake ARE possible on the GBA. Click the title link for more screenshots.

Good news for fans of the great farming game that goes by the name of
Harvest Moon – to tie in with the release of Harvest Moon: A Wonderful
Life for the GameCube, Natsume will also be brining the series to the
Game Boy Advance. All Natsume have said is that we can expect some sort
of connectivity between the two titles – taking advantage of the GBA-GC
link cable.

Screenshots: Klonoa G2
Posted at 5/29/02, 11:17 am by John
It
was announced a few weeks ago that Klonoa would be returning to the GBA
in a second platforming adventure. After a regular visit to Namco’s
Japanese website today I found some screenshots and a little
information about Klonoa G2. The game will be spread across 5 worlds,
each consisting of 10 stages, making a total of 50 levels to play
though. The last game was a little repetitive, but Klonoa G2 looks like
improving upon this. Apparently it will feature underwater stages plus
an improved level design for stages where Klonoa rides on his float
board. No details on a western release as of yet, but the game is
expected to be released in Japan during August this year.
