I noticed a few of you were rather shocked by the pictures of ducks falling into a storm drain. Hopefully this will make you feel better:

Much better. This is what the forum needs, not images of ducklings going away :(

I'm not sure if that story relates to the pictures that were posted, but so everyone knows, all but one of the ducklings in the earlier pictures were rescued.

Musta been a slow news day because I remember when they put this on the six o clock news.

*edit* wait a minute, this seems to be a different case. I guess this happens lots.

And as to the thread with the pictures in it, they looked pretty photochopped to me...

That kind of garbage is on the news every day if you watch a pooty station like Global or CTV for news. Watch CBC, you get real news there.

And those pictures weren't photoshopped, some people on the other board where I post know the guy who took them.

I have never seen a story like that on CTV news. Global, sure, but never CTV... at least not on CJOH around here...

Probably depends where you are. A Toronto news station is going to have a lot more "important" news than say, a Price Edward Island station.

CTV's national news isn't as bad, but their local news is just as bad as Global's.

Like I said though, that depends where you are.

Our local CTV news, CJOH, wouldn't be caught dead showing a story like the one above. It's highly respected in Ottawa, even more so than our local CBC channel.
