Go to [ftp]www.wal-mart.com[/ftp] and search for Nintendo DS. It is priced at $199.82, releases on November 30th, is available in platinum only, and apparently doesn't come with Pictochat. :D :D :D :D
Good price if you ask me. The N64 started out at that price and it didn't have nearly as many features.
On a different note: with WiFi and a microphone port, theoretically, you could play an online game, with voicechat, through a WiFi hub. The possiblilities of this handheld are just insane. Imagine a MMORPG set in Hyrule.
Also, the DS carts can store 1 gigabit of memory, which means, with Majesco's video technology, you could watch at least six hours of video on one cart. WOW! The only advantage I can see that PSP has over the DS is a larger screen, and better graphics, both of which are not worth the huge-ass price.

For the last time, these retailers don't have pricing information.

But if the Wal-Mart people set this price for pre-ordering, are they obliged to sell it for this price ($199.82)?

I mean, usually there's this fine print that says "price may be changed" and all that, but I couldn't find any info of that nature.

Retailers set the price at the highest selling point it will go for. If you preorder it they refund the money that you lose. This was discussed in the forums before. Since you couldn't see fine print....Hmmmm..... I don't know. But they can't be obliged to sell it higher than the price is, that's illegal.
