 I have been real frustrated lately because of all the RPG's for GBA, 90% have to deal with knights and magic and fantasies and evil monsters... etc. I am not really a fan of those kinds of things (frankly, I despise them) and I am looking for an RPG that is just as good as Golden Sun or Fire Emblem or Final Fantasy Tactics,... I just want them to be a little more realistic or even futuristic (not like too fantastically futuristic though...). I mean I accept games such as Pokemon Ruby or Advance Wars because of that. They are based in a more realistic setting without all of the humans-are-not-humans-or-are-being-hunted-by-monsters stuff. Does anyone know of such an RPG? Or even better, multiple? I have heard about Medabots, but I never played it... Thanks.

:o Oh... From what I saw of it, I thought of it to be like an Super Street Fighters or like some of the older Megaman games. Anyone have screenshots that show like the RPG part? (Short, fat little dudes walking around towns and stuff...)

It's a style of drawing, very often used in gameboy games, especially in rpgs.
It's like taking an anime character and turning it into a baby, kinda. Just look it up on google images for yourself. ;)

Well I have the perfect GBA RPG that meets these requirements. It's a port of the game Earthbound for the SNES. Unfortunately, the idiots over at Nintendo haven't had the common sense to bring it to America (or any English-speaking country for that matter), so it looks like we'll have to wait for that one. However, it is a great RPG and my all-time favorite game, so it'd be certainly worth picking up if Nintendo ever does bring it out of Japan.

Joe, what the boink are you talking about? I don't see any double posting there. Double posting, as you don't seem to know, is posting two posts straight after each other without using the edit button. If you are going to continue a discussion of some sort, you don't have to wait 30 mins to reply.

Please stop trying to moderate, especially when you can't do it right.

I suggest you look more closely, then, Ben, since it's not like HfsJunky's double post is hard to spot.

Though I do agree that member moderation is not something that should be encouraged.

Phantasy Star Collection.

It's chibi(ish), but it's essentially a Sci-Fi universe. Phantasy Star II was one of the best games on any system when it came out for Genesis.

Try it. There are used copies out there- because these games are not for people short on patience or puzzle-solving skills.

Good luck in your quest for a decent RPG on GBA. I know I've been waiting, too. So far, the most fun outside of M&L:SS has been Car Battler Joe by Natsume. Harvest Moon demands way too much time and repetition to be as much fun, but that's a good one, too- if you've got the time.

Edited because I spelled "chibi" as "chiba." Hmm.
