The Wonderswan Advance
7/19/01, 8:03 pm, by Evil Dead Rabbit
Thanks EAGB for this one! It seems that a person named Sandro Tison has fused GBA hardware onto a Wonderswan Color, in order for it to play GBA games as well as Wonderswan games. If this is a fake, it is extremely well done. But judging by the photos taken, it's not. Go check it out.

Details on Saffire's GBA games
7/18/01, 10:10 pm, by JskieXL
Planet GameCube seem to have got quite a bit of information out of Saffire. Their previously announced title, Lego Bionicle, is now finished and they are waiting for the go-ahead from Lego before releasing it. Saffire are also producing "various GBA titles", two of which will link up with one of their two planned GameCube games. This will involve data transfer between the two machines and also the ability to use the GBA as a controller for the game. One of Saffire's games seems likely to be a fighting game, since the engine for it was up and running at E3. More soon.
Backtrack Movies

Telegames today announced that their GBA FPS, Backtrack, has been completed (so hopefully it will be released soon). In addition, they've put up some AVI format movies of the finished game in action on their website:
They also released a bunch of new screenshots, which I'll link you to IGN Pocket for since I'm too lazy to upload them myself.

You want Gradius? You're getting it whether you like it or not!
7/16/01, 11:39 pm, by JskieXL
Fans of classic shooters with stupidly high difficulty levels will be celebrating tonight, as Konami has announced that Gradius is on their GBA "to do" list. According to Gamespot: "Gradius Galaxies will feature eight new stages and weapons such as twin cannons, photon missiles, and beam lasers. The bosses, as with the original game, are massive and fill the screen with clusters of artillery fire. Gradius Galaxies is currently on schedule for release in November and will carry a suggested retail price of $39.99."
Crash is Back, as Well as His Friend, Spyro
7/16/01, 2:45 pm, by Evil Dead Rabbit
C&VG has released a few screenshots of the upcoming Crash Bandicoot Advance. Yes, the same Crash Bandicoot that Sony embraced as a mascot, and what Naughty Dog considered to be dead. Nonetheless, the interesting part is that Vicarious Visions will be the developer and promises to use 3D in its Crash title. Judging by the screenshots, it is almost on par with the PSX's graphics. And thanks to POKETNRJSH, who pointed out to me that C&VG has more info and screens on Spyro the Dragon: Seasons of Ice, which can be found here.

Marry russian brides. Slavonic girls picturesBlitz 2002 confirmed
7/13/01, 7:50 pm, by JskieXL
In their rummaging for box art, IGN Pocket came across a box for Blitz 2002, a GBA version of the popular NFL Blitz series. Previous efforts by Midway to transfer the series to handheld have, by all accounts, been awful, so don't hold your breath too much. It's the GBA's first American Football game, though, so that's something.
