Info: Wario Ware Inc: Mega Microgame$
Posted at 1:13 am by Dan

Wario still wants more money, and Nintendo aims to let him have it. As follows is a briefing of the game, and well, it should do a decent job of explaining things.

Greed has once again gotten the best of Wario, but this time, he's seeking his riches in the game industry! With a penny-pinching eye on development costs, Wario and his friends in Diamond City have put together a batch of hundreds of micro-sized games covering every genre thinkable. Wario will be laughing his way to the bank entertaining you with his silliest money-making scheme yet!

Features:

  • Get ready for the most frantic game play of all time as you play through over 200 lightning-quick microgames you simply can't put down!
  • Wario Ware has ultra-simple controls and a seemingly never-ending supply of wacky microgames, so gamers of all ages can pick it up and have fun immediately. The rapid-fire nature of the game play makes it ideal for playing in brief sittings, like while you're waiting for the bus.
  • With an offbeat cast of bizarre characters and games that reflect Wario's unique brand of weird humor, this game is laugh-out-loud funny.

Wario Ware Inc: Mega Microgame$ is due for release in the United States on May 26th. Stay tuned for more details and information.

Hamtaro: Ham-Ham Outbreak
Posted at 12:52 am by Dan

Preliminary information on Hamtaro: Ham-Ham Heartbreak has been released and here are the basics. A mean hamster named Spat has been running around creating fights between the nice hamsters, and the good intentioned hero, Hamtaro, decides to go and help fix the ruined friendships with the help of Bijou and an angelic hamster named Harmony.

In this second Hamtaro game (third in Japan) you'll have to learn more than 80 Ham-Chat words in order to talk to other hamsters and solve their problems. Apparently all the words will have their own Ham-Jam dance move that can be used in a dance competition or combined to create your own dance routine, which can also be traded to other players with their own cartridge. There is also a new photo studio where Hamtaro and Bijou can dress up in different costumes and have a picture taken. Throughout the adventure Hamtaro will come across sunflower seeds which can be collected to purchase new pieces of clothing.

The game is due for release on April 7th in the US, so stay tuned for more updates and the review. Here's the box art too:

The Rumor Mill Returns to Active Status
Posted at 6:42 pm by Dan

Electronic Gaming Monthly's latest issue features a couple rumors regarding Nintendo's first party development. According to the rumor column, HAL Laboratory is working on a Kirby game for both Nintendo platforms that will make use of their connectivity. Along with that, Intelligent Systems is supposedly taking a similar route with its Fire Emblem series, and developing one for the GBA and GameCube which will also connect. Time will tell whether these are true but they're strictly rumor for now, albeit logical assumptions.

In an announcement so small that it has barely been acknowledged, Capcom will be releasing four Mega Man games for the GBA this year. The fourth game however hasn't been given any attention, but it is of course Mega Man Zero 2. No details are available for Mega Man Zero 2 but stay tuned for more information on that along with the rest. Mega Man & Bass is due to hit stores March 18th while the Battle Network games are set sometime in the spring.
